Olympics: Mexico Wins Bronze Medal in Target Shooting

President AMLO promised around US$32 million for the 109 Mexican athletes participating in the 2024 games.

On Monday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) congratulated the women’s archery team for winning the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.

“We are very pleased that Mexico has won an Olympic bronze medal in archery. It was achieved by three women: Alejandra Valencia from Hermosillo, Sonora; Ana Paula Vazquez from Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila; and Angela Ruiz from Saltillo, Coahuila,” he said.

“They have raised the name of our beloved Mexico at the Olympics,” President AMLO emphasized.

On Sunday, they defeated the team from the Netherlands 6-2. The gold medal was won by South Korea, and the silver medal was won by China.

The text reads, “Congratulations Mexico. Archery. Paris 2024. Bronze.”

In recent days, President AMLO promised around US$32 million for the 109 Mexican athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ana Guevara, the director of the National Sports Commission (Conade), said that Mexico expects at least nine medals at the games. In London 2012, the Mexicans won eight medals.

“People everywhere are watching closely. Congratulations and continue to give your all in the competitions with great passion for Mexico. Success also has to do with the support of family, coaches, and many other people,” AMLO pointed out.
